Smart USA

The Today Show took Smarty out for a spin. They actually complained about the gas mileage (36 in mixed driving). Trust me, it can be even better on the highway! I love my Smart but will have to cut back on using it. Sadly, the stroller does not fit in the back seat. If you are looking for something not too expensive, easy to drive and cute to boot, a Smart may be for you.

It's a toss-up betwen that and an original Fiat 500 - hotted up and with racing strips of course.
Not to forget the added benefit that either of those will probably fit inside my husbands car.

After living in Germany for only a couple months now, I can see the advantages of the Smart car. the first time I filled up our car, I wished we had bought one. Yikes!

my friends bought a smart 4 four as a second car and there's actually a stroller that fits in the back perfectly. it the perfect second car when you have a kid (or even without a kid) and that car is CUUUUTE, too! :)

I rented a Smart Car once here in Germany and got 60 mpg... Pretty awesome for mixed driving (city, highway, hills...)

I haven't see one of those here in the States yet. We are to hung up on our huge SUVs. On a visit to Victoria, CA, however, we saw a whole slew of them. Maybe the Canadians know something we don't. My brother, who was here on a visit from Delmenhorst, was quite amazed by that.

I'd consider a SMART as my commuter car, but it wouldn't work for my VERY tall husband. Oh well...he can keep his super-sized SUV, and I can drive something smart! LOL!
